Si Se Puede Foundation – Building a Community for Decades

The Si Se Puede Foundation was created by Mr. Alberto Esperanza about many years ago based in Chandler, Arizona. Mr. Alberto Esperanza is known for organizing and providing extracurricular activities. The creation of the Si Se Puede Foundation only enhanced his contribution to the community. of Chandler, Arizona.

At the Si Se Puede Foundation, students can receive help with homework, play soccer, as well as learn folklore dances. The organization was specially created for underprivileged students. About a decade ago, the Si Se Puede Foundation expanded and started offering more activities. It also added a bit of a competitive aspect for the members in some of the activities.

The Si Se Puede Foundation is very focused on what they call STEm. That stands for Science, Technology, Engineering, and Math. The Si Se Puede Foundation has been organizing challenges for students with building robotics.

The projects are entered in competitions such as the FIRST Robotics Competition and the FIRST Lego League. STEM helped The Si Se Puede Foundation expanded some more. On Saturdays, there are sessions in the subjects of algebra, math, as well as calculus. The Si Se Puede Foundation has also started organizing competitions for underwater robotics together with Arizona SeaPerch.

The local high school at Chandler, Arizona is in partnership with The Si Se Puede Foundation. The high school has a robotics team which is called The Binary Bots. The team took part in the FIRST Robotics Competition with a robot, and the participation was quite successful.

A big advantage that The Si Se Puede Foundation developed some year ago is their Scholar Program. The scholar program is directed towards high school students, and it provides workshops which encompass a number of topics.

Some of the seminars prepare the high school students for their college transition and experience. In order to do that, the workshops focus on improving grades as well as how to choose a college or university, apply to it successfully, and even how to earn a scholarship.

The Si Se Puede Foundation is currently undergoing another expansion. It will start doing activities that are available in a neighborhood in South Phoenix that is low-income. The Si Se Puede Foundation has also stepped in a partnership with a local college – South Mountain Community college.

The Si Se Puede Foundation has been receiving a lot of support from a fund that is operating locally to the state of Arizona. The Lacey and Larkin Frontera Fund exists specifically to support organizations which build up communities, protect the rights of immigrants and refugees, and minorities as a whole, among else.

The Frontera Fund was established by two well-known journalists who have been working for Arizona for decades. Mr. Michael Lacey and Mr. Jim Larkin established the Frontera Fund about a decade ago. They have been wrking together for many years.
